XPENG Motors, a prominent Chinese smart electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, made a significant entry into the Australian market at the Melbourne Electric SUV Expo from August 9-11, 2024.
Partnering with TrueEV, the exclusive retailer and distributor of XPENG in Australia, the company unveiled a range of its cutting-edge electric vehicles, highlighted by the debut of Australia’s first flying car, the AEROHT X2.
The AEROHT X2, designed to revolutionize urban mobility, features advanced electric propulsion and autonomous flight technology, promising a safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for city travel.
Alongside this groundbreaking vehicle, XPENG displayed four other models: the G6 ultra-smart coupé e-SUV, launching in September; the G9 large SUV, slated for a 2025 release; the X9 luxury seven-seater MPV; and the P7 scissor-door (wing edition) sedan.
Jason Clarke, CEO of TrueEV, expressed excitement about introducing XPENG’s innovative vehicles to Australia, highlighting the advanced technology and stylish design as key factors in accelerating the country’s adoption of electric vehicles. The expo marked a milestone for XPENG as it presented its full range of EVs to the Australian market for the first time.
