XPENG Motors, a prominent Chinese smart electric vehicle (EV) company listed on the NYSE and HKEX, announced its participation in the El Prix NAF Summer Test. Competing with 26 other EVs, including traditional luxury and top-selling brands, the test evaluated range and charging speed.
Among this year’s entrants, the new XPENG G6 emerged as a standout, performing exceptionally well in terms of both range and charging efficiency relative to its price.
The XPENG G6 nearly matched its stated WLTP range of 550 kilometers, covering a total of 530.7 kilometers. Its 800-volt technology, part of XPENG’s advanced SEPA2.0 architecture, enabled the 87.5 kWh battery to charge from 10-80% in under 20 minutes, achieving a remarkable charging speed of 264 kW.

This speed is just 55 kW shy of the record set by the XPENG G9 in the previous year’s test. These results mark a significant milestone for XPENG, enhancing its reputation in key European markets.
XPENG has already made substantial inroads in Norway, where it entered the market in 2020. Following impressive performance in last year’s Summer Test, where the XPENG G9 and P7 excelled in range and charging tests, the brand experienced a significant boost in sales.
“Since XPENG’s entrance into Norway, we have set new standards in both range and charging speed, validated by the record-breaking results in last year’s Summer Tests. We are delighted to continue making industry strides with the XPENG G6 and solidifying our position as one of the best EV brands on the market,” stated Claes Persson, CEO of XPENG Norway.
