XPENG, the Chinese high-tech automotive company, has officially entered the UK market, launching pre-sales for its first right-hand-drive model, the all-electric XPENG G6. This marks a major milestone in the brand’s global expansion, particularly as the UK emerged as Europe’s largest EV market in 2024.
Partnering with International Motors Ltd (IML), XPENG plans to establish 20 dealerships across the UK by 2025, ensuring a strong local presence.
XPENG Vice Chairman and President Dr. Brian Gu highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality EVs that combine futuristic design, long-range capabilities, and ultra-fast charging.

IML Managing Director William Brown expressed enthusiasm for bringing XPENG’s cutting-edge technology to UK consumers.
XPENG is positioning itself as a leader in AI-driven smart mobility, offering an intuitive and highly personalized driving experience. At its UK launch event, the company showcased its latest models, including the XPENG P7+, G6, G9, X9, and even the XPENG AEROHT eVTOL X2 flying car.
Pre-orders for the XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV are now open, with prices starting at £39,990 and deliveries set for March 2025. The G6 features 800-volt supercharging and an extended driving range, setting a new benchmark in electric mobility for UK drivers.
Since entering Europe in 2021, XPENG has rapidly expanded across multiple countries, including Norway, Germany, France, and Spain, with further global expansion planned.
In early 2025, the company announced strategic partnerships with Volkswagen and BP Pulse to develop a super-fast charging network and explore advanced mobility solutions. By the end of 2025, XPENG aims to have a presence in more than 60 countries and regions.
