Kia is bringing significant updates to its car and minivan lineup for 2025, introducing fresh designs and new technologies, including a hybrid powertrain for one model.

The all-new Kia K4 replaces the Forte, offering sedan and hatchback styles but sticking to FWD. Its design borrows from the revamped 2025 K5 midsize sedan and the EV9 electric SUV, though it retains familiar powertrains.

The base model features a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four with 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque. The GT-Line Turbo offers a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, a slight downgrade from the outgoing model.
Standard tech includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch gauge cluster display, 5.0-inch climate control interface, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GT-Line adds heated front seats and a performance suspension, while options include a wireless phone charger, Harman Kardon premium audio system, and a 360-degree camera. The K4 aims to be Kia’s most affordable model but faces tough competition from the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

The 2025 Kia K5 gets a midcycle refresh with a stronger base engine and updated styling. Exterior tweaks include new headlights, larger taillights, and a trunklid spoiler, with new wheel designs and bright green brake calipers for the GT model. The new base engine is a 2.5-liter inline-four with 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque, replacing the previous 1.6-liter turbocharged unit.
Interior updates include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a touch panel for HVAC controls, and a larger 12.3-inch center touchscreen. A wireless phone charger is now available. Enhanced safety features include standard adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and improved automatic emergency braking.

The 2025 Kia Carnival, Kia’s minivan with SUV styling, now offers a hybrid powertrain alongside the standard V-6. The hybrid pairs a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four with an electric motor, producing 242 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque, sent to FWD via a six-speed automatic. This makes the Carnival more competitive with the Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Pacifica hybrids.
Updates include a refreshed exterior, a new digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch central screen with wireless smartphone mirroring. Higher trims feature dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and the gauge cluster, all running a new OS with over-the-air updates. Standard are seven USB-C ports, with a digital rearview mirror and head-up display available. Enhanced driver assist features improve adaptive cruise control.
