The ADAC 24-hour race at Nürburgring (June 19-22, 2025), Germany’s biggest motorsport event, is set to thrill over 230,000 fans at the legendary Nordschleife.
Volkswagen will mark the occasion with the world premiere of a GTI special model, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic Golf GTI ahead of 2026.

Fans can also check out the high-performance Volkswagen R models, including the Golf R, Golf R Variant, and Golf R Black Edition, designed for the demanding Nürburgring track.

On the racetrack, Max Kruse Racing returns to defend its class victory with two Golf GTI Clubsport 24h cars. Benny Leuchter, a key Volkswagen development driver, will once again join Johan Kristoffersson, Nico Otto, and Heiko Hammel in the lineup.

The second Golf GTI will feature Fabian Vettel, younger brother of F1 champion Sebastian Vettel.

Preparations are already in full swing, with winter testing in Portugal and upcoming Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) races leading up to the 24-hour showdown in the ‘Green Hell’.
