An ultra-rare Ferrari model, the 1967 Ferrari 365 California Spyder, is set to be auctioned for an estimated £3.1 million. With only 14 of these models in existence, this open-top, two-seater vehicle is a highly coveted collector’s item.

The 365 California Spyder made its debut at the 1967 Geneva Salon, an event renowned for showcasing the world’s most impressive supercars. Inspired by Maranello, the birthplace of Ferrari in Italy, this model reflects Ferrari’s tradition of producing limited edition supercars for a select clientele.

The car is equipped with a powerful 4390cc, 4.4-liter, supercharged V-12 engine, capable of generating up to 320 horsepower and 361 Nm of torque. This performance, combined with its exquisite design, makes it a standout among Ferrari’s offerings.

Its design features include a small oval-nosed front end, faired-in headlamps, and two elegant pop-up driving lamps set inboard of the main lights. The long front deck leads to a steeply raked windscreen, and the belt line features a triangular cosmetic flourish integrated into the door handle, an iconic speed-strake cue.

The vehicle has a short ownership history, having been cared for by only four private owners, including two long-term caretakers. It was also a FCA Platinum Award winner at the 2004 Cavallino Classic at Concorso Italiano.
