Kia continues to dominate the family vehicle segment with two major wins in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 “Best Cars for Families” awards.
The ever-popular Kia Telluride has secured the title of “Best 3-Row Midsize SUV” for the sixth consecutive year, while the all-electric Kia EV9 takes home the honor of “Best Electric Vehicle for Families” just one year after its debut.
Praised for its winning mix of space, features, practicality, and top-tier safety ratings, the Telluride has become a go-to for families seeking a reliable, well-rounded SUV.

The EV9, meanwhile, stands out not just for its sleek styling and advanced tech, but for being the first relatively affordable 3-row electric SUV on the market—offering quick charging, lower energy costs, and an impressive level of family-friendly utility.
“These accolades validate Kia’s dedication to engineering high-quality vehicles designed to fulfill the needs of the entire family,” said Steven Center, COO and EVP of Kia America. “Having the Telluride recognized every year since its release, and the EV9 winning so soon after its launch, is a testament to our commitment.”
Winners were chosen from more than 100 contenders across nine categories, based on a composite score factoring in U.S. News’ safety and reliability ratings, interior space, and family-focused features.
Both Kia models boast roomy 3-row interiors, advanced driver assistance systems, and a premium feel designed to elevate everyday family driving.
Kia America, headquartered in Irvine, California, continues to earn top marks in automotive quality and was recently named one of TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies of 2024.
The brand offers a wide range of gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles through nearly 800 U.S. dealers, with several models assembled in the U.S. Kia also serves as the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA and WNBA.
