In a symbolic gesture ahead of the first tee-off at The 152nd Open, Brian Harman, the winner of The 151st Open, drove the new electric G-Class to Troon. He handed over the Claret Jug to Martin Slumbers, CEO of The R&A, the organizing body of the Championship. Slumbers emphasized the importance of the “Return of the Claret Jug” tradition and highlighted Mercedes-Benz’s role in supporting this ceremony, reflecting shared values of tradition and innovation between the organizations.
