Travel influencer Steph Robinson trekked over 700 miles across the UK to find the most picturesque car charging points, showcasing stunning spots from the Lake District to Devon.

A travel-mad Brit trekked over 700 miles across the country with the aim of discovering the most picturesque car charging point in the UK.

Steph Robinson, an influencer who has 140,000 followers, spent over 14 hours during a three-day mission to find the perfect spot to boost her electric motor.

Her journey saw the traveller go from beautiful spots in the Lake District to the stunning depths of Devon.

The Škoda Enyaq 85 was her trusted mode of transport for the expedition, doing a whopping 351 miles per charge.

Steph wanted to show how brilliant travelling can be in Britain, while also dispelling range anxiety with electric vehicles.

The influencer, who is also known as @‌Geordie_Hiker, added: “I really wanted to show people how beautiful the UK is and that you can travel the country in an EV, you don’t have to jump on a plane to have an adventure!

“I hope I proved that it can be done cheaper and more sustainably!

“It was such a relaxing trip.

“I just cruised from Location to Location with the window down, enjoying the sunshine, exploring new places and finding gorgeous hidden nooks, and I got to soak up the views while I was quickly topping up the charge on my Škoda… I really recommend it.”

Day one kicked off when she set out from her home in Whitley Bay, Newcastle, on 19 June.

The first stint on the road racked up an impressive 88.8-mile drive to Ullswater, the Lake District.

Steph charged her car while taking in the magnificent sunny views of the remote charging point.

Not wasting any time, she then set off to her second point of interest, located 190.6 miles away in the forest of Coed y Brenin, Dolgellau.

This particular charging Location is surrounded by endless stretches of nature, where both she and the Škoda could recharge for the evening.

The second day of the trip saw Steph take on a whopping five-hour journey where she drove for 229.7 miles.

Landing her in the hustle and bustle of London, the driver parked up and charged her electric car under the Shard on Southwark Street.

On the third and final day, Steph drove 151 miles through the countryside to visit a charging station on the A303 in Honiton, Devon.

The last stop was positioned in the entryway of the 119-year-old neo-Elizabethan Bovey Castle.

Just 50 miles from her previous spot, the traveller completed her final charge of the trip surrounded by the views of Dartmoor National Park.

The eco-traveller’s favourite Location was Another Place Hotel in the Lake District, thanks to the beautiful mountain and lake scenery.

Steph said: “The Location also proved to be the perfect charging spot for hikers, with a range of walking trails in the surrounding areas.”

Her reel has already racked up thousands of views with hundreds of thousands of followers flocking to the post to share their awe at the views
