Toyota Prius sets a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for lowest fuel consumption, achieving 93.158 MPG on a coast-to-coast drive, further cementing its efficiency and engineering excellence.

The Toyota Prius has achieved a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the lowest fuel consumption during a coast-to-coast drive across the U.S.

Hypermiler Wayne Gerdes drove a Prius LE from Los Angeles to New York, averaging 93.158 MPG over 3,211.7 miles, surpassing the previous record in the mid-70s MPG range.

Despite challenging terrain and weather, including desert heat and mountain elevations, the Prius showcased its renowned efficiency.
