Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) has announced a collaboration with WeaveGrid to advance seamless home charging for its growing lineup of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
Backed by Toyota’s growth fund, Woven Capital, the initiative aims to align vehicle charging with electric grid needs, fostering efficient and resilient energy use.

“As we expand our BEV and PHEV offerings, ensuring a smooth and customer-friendly charging experience is essential,” said Christopher Yang, group vice president of Toyota EV Charging Solutions.
Toyota and WeaveGrid are developing systems to maximize grid flexibility, potentially reducing charging costs for customers while enabling vehicle batteries to support home energy needs. This approach aligns with Toyota’s goal of advancing carbon-neutral solutions while maintaining its reputation for reliability.
