Toyota is broadening its Grand Highlander SUV lineup for 2025, adding the bold Hybrid Nightshade Edition and a value-oriented LE grade. Designed with families in mind, the Grand Highlander blends three rows of spacious seating, ample cargo capacity, three versatile powertrains, and Toyota’s signature emphasis on safety and technology.
The Hybrid Nightshade Edition, based on the Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited, introduces a sophisticated aesthetic with blacked-out design elements, including 20-inch alloy wheels, door handles, badges, and mirror caps.

Available in Midnight Black Metallic, Wind Chill Pearl, and a new Cement color, the Nightshade’s exterior is designed to stand out. The interior offers leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated front seats, a JBL sound system with 11 speakers, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and ambient lighting.
For those seeking value, the LE grade joins the Grand Highlander range with two powertrain options: a 2.5-liter hybrid with standard AWD or a 2.4-liter turbocharged gas engine with optional AWD.
Features include seating for eight, fold-down second and third rows, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, and a power liftgate. Both trims add to Grand Highlander’s spacious, practical interior and make Toyota’s family SUV lineup even more flexible.
With three powertrain options, Grand Highlander drivers can select a balance of power and efficiency. The gas engine offers 265 horsepower, the hybrid has 245 hp, and the high-performance Hybrid MAX model delivers 362 hp, making it the most powerful midsize SUV Toyota has produced. Fuel economy is impressive, with up to an estimated 36 combined MPG on the hybrid model.
Additional updates for 2025 include a new Heavy Metal exterior color for certain trims and a removable second-row console option. The 2025 Grand Highlander starts at $40,860 for gas-powered models, $44,210 for hybrids, and $54,690 for the Hybrid MAX. Arrivals are expected in late 2024 for most models, with LE trims debuting in the first half of 2025.
Since arriving in the U.S. market over 65 years ago, Toyota has produced over 34 million vehicles domestically and now offers 30 electrified options. With its commitment to sustainable innovation and community impact, Toyota continues to shape the future of American mobility.
