A tiny motorbike ridden by Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna has sold for £22,425.
The Honda ST70 was used by the Lotus F1 team.
It ferried the drivers around in the pits.

As well as Brit ex-race ace Mansell and late Brazilian legend Senna, the US driver Mario Andretti – who was also a world champ – used it.

Other drivers Elio de Angelis and Johnny Dumfries did so too.
Powered by a 72cc 5.5bhp four-stroke engine the Honda Dax has a certificate from Team Lotus stating it was used by its stars.

It was first painted in the Essex Wire colours of the then-team sponsor before being painted in the JPS livery it now has.
Some of the Essex colours can still be found under the seat.

Imported by Team Lotus from Monte Carlo in May 1980 the bike still has its Monte Carlo registration plate
It had only done around 693 miles.

It was auctioned last week with a guide price of £6,000 to £8,000 as reported by Luxury Auto News.
And sold for around three times that for £22,425.

Before its sale, a spokesman for Iconic Auctions said: “Confirmed in running condition and has covered only 1,115 kms
“A very collectible part of motorsport history.”
