Polestar’s infotainment systems go far beyond basic driving data, offering an immersive digital experience powered by Android Automotive OS. This allows seamless integration of Google services like Maps, Waze, and EasyPark, while apps such as Spotify, YouTube, and Prime Video keep both drivers and passengers entertained.
The cars come with a 5G connection for Polestar 3 and 4, and 4G for Polestar 2, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity to download apps and manage a busy lifestyle.
Google Home integration further streamlines daily tasks, allowing users to check battery status or adjust the car’s climate via voice commands while managing home devices from the vehicle.
Three years of in-car data is included with each purchase, ensuring the vehicle remains connected. Drivers can also rely on Google Assistant for hands-free access to emails, texts, and calendar reminders, enhancing productivity on the road.
Polestar’s infotainment screen doubles as a hub for entertainment during charging breaks, offering apps like Prime Video, YouTube, and Tidal, plus podcasts and audiobooks from Audible and Pocket Casts.
The system also includes games via Gamesnacks and relaxation apps like Breathe for moments of downtime. Additionally, the Google Play store regularly updates with new apps, including upcoming Zoom call functionality.
The driving experience is further enhanced by multiple displays, including a 12.3″ driver display on Polestar 2, a 9″ on Polestar 3, and a 10.2″ on Polestar 4. These work alongside an optional head-up display in Polestar 3 and 4, projecting essential information like speed and navigation onto the windshield.
The center display serves as the control hub, offering easy access to vehicle functions, settings, and entertainment, while supporting both Apple CarPlay (wired and wireless) and Android apps for seamless navigation and media use.
