A rare yellow Ferrari LaFerrari – one of just nine ever made – is up for auction at £3.2M. With only 2,149 miles, this 963bhp hybrid hypercar is a collector’s dream!

A super rare yellow Ferrari – like the ones owned by a string of A-listers – is for sale for £3.2million.

The high-end car manufacturer only made 499 of the 220mph, LaFerrari coupé models.

And only nine of them were given yellow paintwork.

The theme carries on inside with the same colour used on the trim on the seats.

A yellow hue is also used on the dashboard.

At the time, when they were first produced, they cost £1million new – the most expensive Ferraris ever.

The 2015 one going under the hammer has only had two owners over the past decade.

It has done only 2,149 miles or just under 215 per year or a shadow over half a mile a day.

It was Ferrari’s first hybrid hypercar with an electrically assisted, 6.2-litre, V-12 engine.

It delivers 963bhp and can go from 0-60mph in only 2.9 seconds.

Moreover, it has an extended warranty until March next year in case anything goes wrong.

Hollywood actor, Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, chef, Gordon Ramsay, and Tottenham captain, Heung-min Son, own one.

It is being sold by RM Sotheby’s at an auction in Paris today (5 Feb), as reported on Luxury Auto News.

A spokesperson said: “Just in case following in the footsteps of the 288 GTO, F40, F50, and Enzo was not a tall enough order, Ferrari did little to dampen the anticipation surrounding its first hybrid hypercar.

“A reputation preceded the newest model when it was announced that the official name would be ‘LaFerrari’.

“Utilising a Formula One-style powertrain, whereby an internal combustion engine was fed by an electric motor, this was to be the definitive Maranello creation of its era.

“Between 2013 and 2016, just 499 coupé examples of the LaFerrari were built to complete the so-called ‘Holy Trinity’ alongside the rivalling McLaren P1 and Porsche 918.
