A super rare Ferrari, one of only 16 ever made, is set to hit the auction block with an expected sale price of £3.5 million.

The classic red 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4, capable of reaching a top speed of 167 mph and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.7 seconds, is powered by a V12, 3.3-liter engine producing 300 bhp.

Hollywood actor Steve McQueen is among the notable figures who have owned one of these highly coveted models.

This particular Ferrari underwent a partial restoration in the late 90s but retains its original chassis (number 09413), engine, gearbox, and bodywork. Its sleek black leather interior remains intact, preserving the car’s vintage charm.

The Ferrari 275 GTB/4 was once owned by renowned illustrator Robert ‘Bob’ Peak, famous for designing iconic film posters for movies such as *West Side Story*, *Star Trek*, *Superman*, *Apocalypse Now*, and *The Spy Who Loved Me*. Peak’s association with the car adds a layer of historic provenance, enhancing its appeal to collectors.

This rare vehicle is being sold by RM Sotheby’s, with a spokesperson noting its impressive pedigree: “In May 1967, 09413 was sold new to Robert ‘Bob’ Peak, a commercial illustrator celebrated for his film posters.

The car changed hands twice before being shipped to Europe for its restoration and has been part of a private collection in California for the last ten years. The guide price for this Ferrari is set between £2.7 million and £3.5 million.

The auction will take place in Beverly Hills, California, on June 14, offering a rare opportunity for collectors to acquire this exceptional piece of automotive history.
