An extremely rare road-legal rally car Porsche is heading under the hammer with an estimated value of £2.6million.
The 1984 Porsche 911 SC RS Gruppe B “Evolutionsserie” is part of a unique group of race motors that can be registered for road use.
This model was the final Type 954 SC RS rally car made by Porsche Motorsport for FIA Group B.

Despite being built for racing this particular car has a limited competition history, with a 14th placed finish being its greatest achievement.
This was achieved in its debut year at the 1984 Tour de Corse in Ajaccio, Corsica, France.
The magnificent motor is kitted out with a fuel-injected 3.0-litre engine that does 0-60mph in just 4.9 seconds.
The Porsche is fitted with lightweight aluminium body panels, fibreglass bumpers and no soundproofing.
In the images you can also see the iconic 911 bodywork feature in an eye-catching white exterior.
The 40-year-old car has just over 3,000 miles on the clock despite its age, as reported by Luxury Auto News.
The motor will now go under the hammer at the Chattanooga motorcar festival, Tennessee on 12 October.
Broad Arrow auctions, who are hosting the event, stated: “The 1984 911 SC RS Gruppe B ‘Evolutionsserie’ is potentially the missing piece of a collection that you didn’t know was missing.
“Among the rarest of RS variants, with only 21 produced by Porsche Motorsport primarily for FIA Group B competition, the SC RS appeals not only to Group B enthusiasts.
“But also to next-gen collectors assembling the ultimate group of Carrera RS models.
“Collectors relish the opportunity to own the first or last example in a limited production run, and the car set for our Chattanooga Auction, chassis no. 021, is the final SC RS produced.
“As a homologated car, the SC RS is a road-legal race car, and this particular example offers the best of both worlds with significant, yet limited period competition history, having been sparingly used ever since.
“It is presented in wonderful, low-mileage, matching numbers condition, two-owners from new, extensively documented, and a rare sight at auction. For the ultimate Porsche collector, the time is now.”
