The Mercedes-Benz Museum is set to host a vibrant open-air summer program in 2024, featuring a diverse array of events on Museum Hill and the open-air stage in front of the Museum.
The season kicks off with the highly anticipated Family Day on 30 June, followed by “Urban Culture at the Mercedes-Benz Museum” from 18 July to 18 August, and the open-air cinema from 23 August to 8 September. The beloved “Classics & Coffee” classic car meet runs every Sunday until 13 October.

30 June: Family Day
Family Day promises a fun-filled experience for all ages, with activities spread across the Museum’s outdoor area, Level 1, and the CAMPUS. The event, organized in collaboration with regional partners, includes a radio workshop, racing simulations, various sports and games stations, and a lively stage program featuring the children’s musical “Bibi & Tina.”
A key highlight will be the display of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, including the debut of its first all-electric version. This coincides with the G-Class Special at the “Classics & Coffee” meet, celebrating the legacy and future of this iconic vehicle.
18 July to 18 August: “Urban Culture at the Mercedes-Benz Museum”
The “Urban Culture” program returns for its fourth edition, offering a mix of dance, concerts, club nights, comedy, and theater. Highlights include the sold-out “MAMAGEHTTANZEN” and “Stuttgarter Comedy Clash” events on 16 August, with tickets still available for the “Comedy Clash” on 17 August.
Other notable events include the “Best of Erotik Slam” on 24 July, “Mind Movies Vol. 14” with comedy, poetry, and live music on 28 July, a concert by Genetikk on 3 August, and the “Udo Jürgens – Tribute to a Legend” evening on 8 August.
23 August to 8 September: Open-Air Cinema
The open-air cinema returns with a lineup of films ranging from arthouse selections to current blockbusters. Opening on 23 August with the drama “A Million Minutes,” the program also features “All of Us Strangers” on 4 September, in collaboration with the Mercedes-Benz AG network “Queers & Friends,” and the European Outdoor Film Tour EOFT on 28 August. The tragicomedy “Kinds of Kindness” screens on 5 September, among other exciting titles.
Until 13 October: “Classics & Coffee”
The “Classics & Coffee” event, a favorite among classic car enthusiasts, continues every Sunday, with themed specials focusing on various model series or vehicle categories from Mercedes-Benz’s history. Special dates include the 45 years of the G-Class on 30 June, 70 years of the 300 SL on 14 July, and a Super Sports Cars special on 4 August, featuring Collecting Cars’ “Coffee Run.”
After-Work Special
New to the Museum’s lineup is the After-work Special, held every Thursday from 3 to 7 pm, and daily from Tuesday to Sunday during the European Football Championship, weather permitting. This event offers a relaxed atmosphere with small snacks, tarte flambée, freshly tapped beer, sparkling Aperol, Hugo, and non-alcoholic drinks, providing the perfect way to unwind after a day’s work.
