Subaru of America has announced the pricing and new features for the 2025 Ascent, the brand’s acclaimed 3-row SUV. The model is now offered in several trims, including the newly introduced Bronze Edition and Onyx Edition Touring. As the base trim has been eliminated, the Ascent Premium becomes the entry-level offering, with a modest price increase of just $340 compared to last year for similar content.
Starting at $38,795, the 2025 Ascent Premium comes with an expanded list of standard features, including Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, an 11.6-inch SUBARU STARLINK® Multimedia Plus system, and new safety technologies such as Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. These updates are now standard across the model lineup, enhancing the vehicle’s appeal in terms of safety and convenience.
The Ascent Premium features the powerful 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER engine, delivering 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, paired with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. This powertrain offers a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds, the highest in Subaru’s history.

New for 2025, the Bronze Edition, priced at $46,995, offers exclusive bronze-colored accents and 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior features water-repellant Subaru StarTex® material with bronze stitching, adding a touch of luxury and durability.
The Onyx Edition, starting at $42,195, includes unique styling elements with black 20-inch alloy wheels and gray StarTex® seats with green stitching, alongside additional comfort features like a heated steering wheel and panoramic power moonroof. For those seeking the highest trim level, the Onyx Edition Touring, priced at $49,995, adds Nappa leather-trimmed seats and premium interior details.
The 2025 Ascent is built at Subaru’s zero-landfill facility in Indiana and will arrive at dealerships this fall. The SUV continues to be recognized for its safety and reliability, having received the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for the seventh consecutive year and a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the NHTSA.
