Subaru Kicks Off 2025 with Strong January Sales, Marking 30 Consecutive Months of Growth

Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) reported 46,354 vehicle sales for January 2025, reflecting a 4.1% increase over January 2024 (44,510). This marks the 30th consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth for the brand.

Jeff Walters, President and COO of Subaru of America, credited the company’s retailers for their dedication, stating, “2025 is off to a strong start, and with exciting new models on the horizon, we are set for a year of continued success.”

Top Performers and Highlights

  • Forester led sales with 12,948 units, reclaiming its top spot.
  • Crosstrek followed closely with 12,625 units, up 11.5% from the previous year.
  • Outback remained a strong performer with 10,794 vehicles sold.
  • Solterra, Subaru’s all-electric SUV, had its best January ever, surging 177.6% year-over-year.
  • WRX saw a significant boost, with sales increasing 34.2%.

Troy Poston, Senior Vice President of Sales, emphasized Subaru’s commitment to customer satisfaction, stating, “Our 30-month streak of sales growth is a testament to our trusted lineup and exceptional retailer service.”
