Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) reported 56,414 vehicle sales in September 2024, a slight 0.1% increase compared to September 2023. Year-to-date sales reached 493,612, marking a 5.6% growth over the same period last year.
The Crosstrek led the charge with its best-ever September, selling 16,633 units, a 24.7% increase from the previous year.

The Outback followed as the second-highest seller, moving 13,991 units. The Forester also saw solid demand with 13,111 units sold, as production ramps up.
Other notable performances included the Ascent, which grew by 26.3% year-over-year, while the Solterra saw a 58.6% year-to-date increase. However, models like the WRX and Legacy experienced declines of 18.5% and 36.2% in September, respectively.
Subaru executives expressed confidence in the brand’s continued momentum, with President Jeff Walters praising the strong efforts of retailers, especially in regions affected by recent storms.
