Stellantis has introduced the STLA Frame platform, a versatile, battery electric vehicle (BEV)-native architecture engineered for full-size trucks and SUVs. Unveiled in Amsterdam, the platform is designed to meet the demanding needs of North American and global markets, offering exceptional range, payload, and towing capabilities.
STLA Frame supports multiple powertrain configurations, including BEV, hybrid, hydrogen, and range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) systems.
It delivers best-in-class range options, including up to 690 miles (1,100 km) with REEV technology and 500 miles (800 km) with a BEV system, alongside a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds (6,350 kg) and a payload capacity of 2,700 pounds (1,224 kg).

Meeting Diverse Needs with Advanced Technology
STLA Frame is crafted from high-strength steel for durability while maintaining a lightweight design. The platform integrates a widened center section for the battery pack and reinforced frame rails for added protection during side impacts. The inclusion of a full-length belly pan enhances aerodynamic efficiency, extending driving range without compromising performance.
Equipped with dual electric drive modules (EDMs) capable of delivering up to 250 kW each, the platform ensures all-wheel drive capability, independent suspension, and rapid acceleration. Vehicles using STLA Frame can achieve 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
Charging and Energy Innovations
STLA Frame incorporates cutting-edge charging capabilities. BEV configurations support 800-volt DC fast charging up to 350 kW, adding 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. REEV systems use 400-volt DC fast charging up to 175 kW, adding 50 miles of range in the same timeframe.
Bi-directional charging allows vehicles to power homes, charge other EVs, or feed electricity back to the grid, aligning with Stellantis’ focus on flexibility and sustainability.
Stellantis Brands Leading Adoption
Ram and Jeep® brands will debut the STLA Frame platform in their full-size trucks and SUVs. These vehicles will embody Stellantis’ commitment to providing “no compromise” solutions for customers seeking both electric innovation and the practicality of traditional vehicles.
Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, highlighted the platform’s significance: “STLA Frame combines an unprecedented range with new levels of capability and performance. It’s engineered to meet the needs of families, businesses, and adventurers alike.”
Driving the Dare Forward 2030 Vision
The STLA Frame platform is part of Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategy, aiming for a fully electrified passenger car lineup in Europe and a 50% BEV mix in the U.S. by 2030. The company is investing over €50 billion in electrification to achieve carbon neutrality by 2038.
With its adaptable design, STLA Frame ensures longevity through interchangeable battery chemistries, modular EDMs, and software updates, paving the way for future innovation.
