Stellantis has launched STLA AutoDrive 1.0, its first in-house-developed automated driving system, offering SAE Level 3 hands-free, eyes-off functionality.
The system enables autonomous driving up to 60 km/h (37 mph), even in low visibility and challenging weather conditions.
Designed for urban commuters, STLA AutoDrive lets drivers engage in non-driving tasks like reading or watching movies when conditions allow.

At higher speeds, it provides Adaptive Cruise Control and lane centering in Level 2 and Level 2+ modes.

“Helping drivers make the best use of their time is a priority,” said Ned Curic, Stellantis Chief Engineering and Technology Officer.

The system ensures safe, smooth, and predictable operation, using advanced sensors and an automated cleaning system for optimal performance.

Built for future upgrades, STLA AutoDrive could later support higher speeds (up to 95 km/h or 59 mph) and off-road automation. It is cloud-connected for real-time updates and is adaptable for global deployment across Stellantis brands.
