At a roundtable with Italian Minister Adolfo Urso, Stellantis COO Jean-Philippe Imparato reaffirmed Italy’s strategic importance and announced significant plans for Lancia’s rebirth as a leader in sustainable, premium automotive design.

Central to this initiative is the production of the new Lancia Gamma, set to begin in 2026 at the Melfi plant on the STLA Medium platform.

Produced at the iconic Melfi plant, known for its advanced manufacturing and commitment to electrification, the Gamma combines Italian elegance with global competitiveness.

Lancia’s Expanding Lineup and International Reach
Lancia’s revival is driven by a robust strategy under Stellantis’ “Dare Forward” plan, which includes three new models by 2028.

The first, the new Ypsilon, launched in February 2023, has already surpassed 11,000 orders, showcasing best-in-class efficiency and eco-friendly options. Lancia also plans to return to motorsport in 2025 with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF and the reintroduction of the celebrated HF label.

To support its global ambitions, Lancia is opening 70 showrooms across Europe, complementing its 160 Casa Lancia locations in Italy. The brand’s redefined identity prioritizes quality, sustainability, and innovative sales models, positioning it as a premium contender in markets like France, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands.
