Stellantis and Factorial accelerate electric vehicle development with solid-state batteries, debuting a Dodge Charger Daytona demo fleet by 2026, enhancing performance and efficiency.

Stellantis N.V. and Factorial Inc. have announced the next phase of their partnership, aiming to accelerate the development of electric vehicles (EVs) powered by Factorial’s advanced solid-state battery technology. This collaboration builds on Stellantis’ $75 million investment in Factorial in 2021.

As part of this initiative, Stellantis will roll out a demonstration fleet of Dodge Charger Daytona vehicles equipped with Factorial’s solid-state batteries by 2026. This key step will allow the validation of the new battery technology in real-world conditions, enhancing EV performance, range, and affordability.

Factorial’s FEST® (Factorial Electrolyte System Technology) solid-state batteries, offering over 390 Wh/kg energy density, bring significant benefits over conventional lithium-ion batteries, including higher energy efficiency, lighter weight, and improved performance. These innovations align with Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategy, which emphasizes the company’s focus on electrification, sustainability, and technological leadership.

The new solid-state battery technology will be integrated into Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, designed for high-volume electric SUVs and performance vehicles across brands like Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati.
