Kidston’s love for cars runs deep, influenced by a childhood spent in Italy surrounded by fast cars and motorsport heritage. His father, a Royal Navy officer and avid race car driver, purchased the Carrera RS new. It became part of family life, from high-speed autobahn trips to Zuffenhausen to its role as Kidston’s wedding car.

When his father passed away in 1996, the Porsche became Simon’s, ensuring its legacy of unforgettable moments continued. Kidston even drove it to Wales to lay his father’s ashes to rest and used it as his son’s first car at 17. Today, with 112,000 kilometers on the clock, the car remains a cherished heirloom.

“This 911 is part of my family’s history,” says Kidston. “I like to think my kids will keep it forever.”
