Rolls-Royce welcomes 31 new apprentices at Goodwood, expanding its Apprenticeship Programme into fields like Data Analytics and Product Development, with nearly 100 apprentices on-site.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has welcomed 31 new apprentices to its headquarters at Goodwood, increasing the total number of apprentices training on-site to nearly 100.

This year’s intake marks the expansion of the luxury carmaker’s highly regarded Apprenticeship Programme into new areas, including Data Analytics and Product Development.

The new apprentices will spend the next two to four years gaining practical experience in departments like Interior Trim, Robot Operations, and Technical Assembly, alongside newer fields such as Data Analytics. Apprentices will also combine hands-on training with academic studies.

Those pursuing vocational qualifications will attend Chichester College Group, which has been rated outstanding by Ofsted, while Degree Apprenticeship candidates will study at the University of Chichester, ranked among the top 40 universities in the UK.

Rolls-Royce’s Director of Manufacturing, Gunther Boehner, commented on the arrival of the new apprentices, praising their potential to shape the future of the company.

“These talented, committed young people represent the future of our business: the world-class craftspeople, managers, and leaders who will shape Rolls-Royce in the future,” Boehner said.

In addition to its current recruitment, Rolls-Royce is hosting webinars in September to provide information for prospective applicants to its 2025 Future Talent Programme, which includes internships and graduate opportunities. Applications for the 2025 intake open in January.

The programme is a key element of Rolls-Royce’s ongoing investment in developing future talent, ensuring the company maintains its leadership in luxury manufacturing.
