Rolls-Royce has revealed a one-of-a-kind Phantom Extended, dubbed the Phantom Cherry Blossom, celebrating the Japanese tradition of Hanami — the viewing of cherry blossoms.
Commissioned by a Japanese client, the car captures the fleeting beauty of Sakura season and is intended as a lasting legacy for the client’s family.
Developed over three years, the car features more than 250,000 stitches and introduces the marque’s first-ever sculptural 3D embroidery.

The intricate cherry blossom design—crafted using ancient Japanese stitching techniques—spans the interior, with a stunning embroidered Starlight Headliner and detailed embellishments on the rear doors and Privacy Suite partition.

The embroidery gives the impression of sitting beneath a flowering tree, with offset tatami stitches lending depth and realism to the intertwining branches. The 3D petals, shaped by hand and positioned to reflect ambient light, create a tactile, jewel-like effect.

Further details include cherry blossom motifs on the umbrellas and a hand-painted coachline over Crystal and Arctic White paint, subtly previewing the floral sanctuary inside.
This unique commission not only reflects the client’s personal memories but also showcases the pinnacle of Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke craftsmanship as the Phantom nameplate approaches its centenary in 2025.
