A 100-year-old Rolls-Royce that appeared in the award-winning film ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ is heading to auction.
The 1924 Silver Ghost appeared on the silver screen during the 1962 war film, directed by David Lean.
Hollywood icon Peter O’Toole, who sadly passed away in 2013, played main character T. E. Lawrence.

And the Rolls-Royce served as his personal car.
Prior to filming, the motor was fitted with a 3.5 tonne replica steel-plate armoured body to fit in with the theme of the movie.
The car is still equipped with its original chassis and its 7,036cc side-valve six equipped engine.
The manual vehicle has just 98,422 miles on the clock despite its crazy 100-year-long life.
In 1924, the car featured at the British Empire Exhibition at the newly built and original Wembley Stadium.
During WWII, the vehicle was repurposed as a commercial vehicle, with it most likely being used as a school bus during that time.
While under the ownership of Jack O’ Lantern Garage in Romsey, Hampshire, in 1961, the vehicle was prepped for its silver screen debut.
The vehicle will now be heading to auction through Bonhams cars for £140,000, as reported by Luxury Auto News.
Paul Hegarty, the consignment specialist for Bonhams, said: “No-one remembers any of the camels Peter O’Toole rode in the film.
“But nearly everyone remembers his armoured Silver Ghost – and this is reputedly that car.
“This car is in exceptional mechanical, aesthetic and dynamic order.
“That it comes with such a unique and starry history is a bonus but, we think, a significant and compelling one.”
