Through this partnership, Renault will focus on raising road safety awareness, providing training, and advancing innovative solutions to reduce road traffic deaths and injuries. Renault’s efforts align with the UN’s goal of halving global road traffic fatalities by 2030.

Renault CEO Luca de Meo emphasized the company’s commitment to pushing beyond regulatory obligations by innovating in safety technology.

Renault’s approach to road safety, guided by its Human First program, includes a 360-degree strategy that prevents, corrects, protects, and rescues in road accidents. The company works closely with rescue services, researchers, and other partners to continuously improve vehicle safety and invest in advanced systems like Safety Score and Safety Coach.

The collaboration comes at a critical time, as road crashes remain the leading cause of death for young people aged 5 to 29. With 1.19 million road traffic deaths recorded in 2021, Jean Todt stressed the urgency of collective efforts to address this crisis. Renault’s partnership represents a key step toward achieving the UN’s ambitious road safety targets.
