Kia America achieves record November sales with 70,107 units, driven by soaring SUV and electrified vehicle demand, marking a 20% year-over-year increase.

Kia America set a new milestone with its best-ever November sales, reaching 70,107 units—a 20% increase over November 2023.

This marks the first time Kia has exceeded 70,000 sales in a single November, driven by record performances from the Telluride SUV and strong demand for SUVs and electrified vehicles, which saw growth of 38% and 45%, respectively.

Notable individual model gains include the Carnival (+45%), EV6 (+46%), Sportage (+28%), Telluride (+31%), and K4/Forte (+12%). SUVs and electrified models accounted for 75% and 16% of total November sales, respectively.

Kia also recorded a 20% year-over-year increase in retail sales for the second straight month, solidifying its momentum heading into Q4. Eric Watson, VP of Sales Operations, credited the brand’s appeal across its lineup, stating, “The Telluride continues to be a cornerstone of Kia’s success, and with five new or redesigned models unveiled at the LA Auto Show, we’re just getting started.”

Exciting New Models

At the 2024 LA Auto Show, Kia showcased a refreshed lineup:

  • 2026 Sportage: Enhanced across three powertrain variants (ICE, HEV, PHEV), including rugged X-Line and X-Pro Prestige trims.
  • 2026 EV9 GT: Kia’s most powerful three-row SUV ever, featuring 501 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 4.3 seconds.
  • 2026 EV6: Updated with refined design, premium interior enhancements, and new trim packages.

Kia also highlighted futuristic concepts at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, introducing the EV9 ADVNTR Concept SUV and PV5 WKNDR Concept EV Van, demonstrating the brand’s vision for versatility and innovation.

November & Year-to-Date Highlights

  • Telluride: Best monthly sales to date at 11,568 units.
  • EV9: 2,155 sold in November (up from 5 in 2023).
  • Sportage: 14,051 sold (+28% YOY), contributing to 146,490 YTD sales.
