McLaren Automotive hosted two-time Olympic gold medallist Yuto Horigome at its Technology Centre, where the skateboarding champion showcased his skills alongside McLaren’s high-performance supercars.

Horigome, who won gold in men’s Street Skateboarding at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics, toured McLaren’s Formula 1 and production facilities before taking the 700PS Artura Spider for a thrilling drive.

Transforming part of the McLaren boulevard into a skate park, Horigome performed an impressive ramp-to-ramp jump over an Artura coupe, executing it with flawless precision. He also performed tricks along the iconic walkway, surrounded by legendary McLaren road and racing cars.

During his visit, Horigome tested McLaren Shadow’s racing simulators and received a custom-painted skateboard deck from McLaren Special Operations as a farewell gift.

Reflecting on the experience, he described it as a unique and exciting opportunity to combine his passion for skateboarding with the world of high-performance automotive engineering.
