Electrifying Performance Innovations
At the heart of the Taycan Turbo GT is a high-voltage 105 kWh battery and a redesigned pulse inverter at the rear axle. By increasing current from 600 amperes to 900 amperes and using silicon carbide semiconductors, Porsche has significantly enhanced energy delivery, efficiency, and performance consistency.
Combined with a reinforced two-speed transmission and a longer gear ratio, the Turbo GT achieves a top speed of 305 km/h and exceptional acceleration, reaching 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds with the Weissach package.
Lightweight and Track-Optimized
The Weissach package trims 70 kg by removing rear seats and other non-essential features, optimizing the car for track performance. Aerodynamic enhancements, lightweight ceramic brakes, and exclusive 21-inch forged wheels further elevate its capabilities.
The Taycan Turbo GT also features Attack Mode, a function inspired by Porsche’s Formula E 99X Electric, providing an additional 120 kW for ten seconds, ideal for circuit use.
Formula E Influence and Track Ready
Derived from Formula E technology, the Taycan Turbo GT’s racecourse mode optimizes the traction battery and drive system for circuits like the Nürburgring. This ensures peak performance without traditional warm-ups required by gasoline-powered sports cars.
Christian Müller, Porsche’s Technical Project Manager, emphasized the precision engineering behind the Turbo GT, describing it as the culmination of countless innovations working in harmony.
A New Era of Electric Power
The Taycan Turbo GT represents a leap forward in electric vehicle performance, setting new standards for power, speed, and track readiness while maintaining Porsche’s signature focus on precision and driving pleasure.
