Porsche opens its sixth Charging Lounge in Leonberg near Stuttgart, offering ultra-fast EV charging, premium amenities, and sustainable design for summer travelers in Germany.

Porsche has opened its latest Charging Lounge in Leonberg, near Stuttgart, just in time for the summer travel season. This new location, strategically positioned near the A8 and A81 autobahns, becomes the sixth exclusive Porsche fast-charging station, complementing others in Germany and Austria.

With six DC fast-charging points offering up to 400 kW, the site enables ultra-fast charging—taking the Taycan from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes and the new Macan in roughly 21.

Designed to reflect Porsche’s premium brand identity, the Leonberg lounge blends advanced tech with upscale comfort. Outside, shaded seating with integrated speakers offers relaxation with a scenic view.

Inside, guests find lounge chairs, complimentary drinks, snacks, coffee, and modern restrooms, along with high-speed Wi-Fi for convenience during short stops.

The lounge is part of Porsche’s broader push into high-end charging infrastructure and is built using a modular, sustainable concept developed with Studio F.A. Porsche.

The structure emphasizes materials like steel, wood, and stone over concrete and is produced locally in Baden-Württemberg using renewable energy. It features a rooftop solar array, a heat pump for temperature control, and a smart energy management system that minimizes power usage when the site is empty.

Access is seamless through Porsche’s integrated digital ecosystem. The lounge and charging bays appear as gold icons in the My Porsche app and the in-car system.

Entry can be granted via license plate recognition (linked to a Porsche ID), a charging card, or a QR code. Billing is handled centrally through the Porsche Charging Service.

This service now offers access to over 900,000 charging points across 25+ countries, including nearly 75,000 high-power chargers. Porsche Charging Service Plus members benefit from discounted rates, including at Aral pulse stations—paying just €0.39/kWh instead of the standard €0.69/kWh.

The Leonberg location showcases Porsche’s vision of sustainable, premium e-mobility—offering performance, comfort, and environmental awareness in equal measure.
