Porsche is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its iconic 911 Turbo by launching a limited edition model, the 911 Turbo 50 Years. This exclusive version merges top-tier performance with high-end materials and distinctive design features, paying homage to the sports car’s storied history.
The 911 Turbo 50 Years, based on the latest 911 Turbo S, will be limited to 1,974 units, a nod to the year the original 911 Turbo debuted. This anniversary model blends historical elements from past 911 Turbos with modern styling, including an optional Heritage Design Package that enhances its retro appeal.

Originally introduced in 1974, the Porsche 911 Turbo was revolutionary, combining turbo technology from Porsche’s racing cars with everyday usability. The 50 Years edition honors this legacy with details like side vinyl graphics inspired by the 1973 Porsche 911 RSR Turbo, which previewed the 911 Turbo at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car features a new exclusive color, Turbonite, used on the wheels, engine cover inlays, and even the Porsche crest, alongside classic Anthracite Grey accents.
Inside, the anniversary model echoes the 1970s with McKenzie tartan fabric on the seats and door panels, alongside Turbonite accents throughout. Unique touches include an illuminated Turbo 50 logo on the door sills and an aluminum anniversary plaque above the glove compartment.
The optional Heritage Design Package further enhances the retro feel, offering Aventurine Green Metallic paint, white decorative graphics, and gold logos. Additional tartan elements and leather features adorn the interior, while the historic Porsche crest and green-finished dials complete the look.
Under the hood, the 911 Turbo 50 Years houses a 3.7-litre twin-turbocharged engine delivering 650 PS, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. This power is managed by an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and advanced all-wheel drive, ensuring both speed and control.
In conjunction with the car, Porsche Design Timepieces has released a matching chronograph, limited to 1,974 units. This watch mirrors the car’s design elements and is available exclusively to owners of the anniversary model.
Deliveries of the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years will begin in autumn 2024, and the model is currently on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen as part of the “Beyond Performance – 50 Years of Porsche Turbo” exhibition.
