The E-408, built at PEUGEOT’s Mulhouse plant, underscores the brand’s ambition to lead the European EV market. As part of PEUGEOT’s ALLURE CARE program, the vehicle comes with an extensive 8-year/160,000 km warranty, the longest of any European brand.
Allure and Performance
The PEUGEOT E-408’s fastback design makes it stand out in the C-segment. Built on the multi-energy E-EMP2 platform, the E-408 maintains interior space while incorporating the battery under the floor, which enhances road behavior and provides a lower center of gravity. With a length of 4.69 meters and a width of 1.85 meters, the vehicle offers a striking combination of aerodynamic efficiency and dynamic road performance.
Powered by a 58.2 kWh battery, the E-408 delivers a maximum output of 210 hp and 345 Nm of torque. It features regenerative braking and three driving modes—Normal, Sport, and Eco—to balance performance with range. The electric motor, manufactured in France, supports DC fast charging up to 120 kW, allowing an 80% charge in just over 30 minutes.
Technological Advancements and Comfort
Inside, the E-408 offers the latest PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, featuring a 10-inch 3D digital display and a 10-inch central touchscreen that includes the PEUGEOT i-Connect® system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle also features a customisable “trip planner” that optimizes routes based on energy consumption and charging station availability.
Passenger comfort is enhanced by a spacious cabin, with rear-seat passengers benefiting from 183 mm of legroom. The boot capacity is generous, offering 471 liters, expandable to 1,545 liters with the rear seats folded.
Safety and Excellence
The PEUGEOT E-408 is equipped with over 20 advanced safety features, including adaptive cruise control, active lane departure warning, and long-range blind-spot monitoring. The model also offers semi-autonomous driving with the Drive Assist Plus package available on the GT trim.
With its launch, the PEUGEOT E-408 solidifies the brand’s position as a leader in electrification, delivering a blend of style, performance, and innovation in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle market.
