Opel has unveiled its new Grandland SUV, which blends bold design with sustainable innovation, reflecting the brand’s concept of “German Energy.” The SUV is fully electrified across all variants and focuses on reducing its environmental footprint, from recycled materials to emissions-free driving.
Key to the Grandland’s eco-friendly approach is its elimination of chrome elements, recyclable batteries, and the use of sustainable materials throughout the interior.

Opel has also introduced its “Blitz” emblem with innovative Edge Light technology, energy-efficient LED headlights, and a minimalist rear design, showcasing embossed, rather than chrome, branding.
Inside, the Grandland continues its sustainable ethos. Opel’s “Greenovation” approach extends to the cockpit, which features Intelli-Seats made from 100% recycled materials, and three vegan trim options, including Alcantara composed of 50% recycled content. Additionally, more than 500 kg of the vehicle’s weight is derived from recycled or renewable raw materials.
The Grandland’s eco-friendly efforts go beyond materials. Its drivetrain includes hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric versions, all reducing CO2 emissions. The SUV is built on the STLA medium platform, designed for electric vehicles, and offers a range of up to 700 km on a single charge.
Opel’s sustainable approach even extends to the batteries, which are part of a circular economy focused on repair, reuse, and recycling, ensuring long-term environmental benefits.
The new Opel Grandland is a clear example of Opel’s commitment to sustainable innovation, combining style, comfort, and green technology in one forward-thinking SUV.
