The new Opel Grandland Plug-in Hybrid has proven its long-distance capabilities, covering an impressive 1,115 km on a single charge and full tank under real-world conditions.
The test, conducted in cold and rainy weather with winter tires, showcased the SUV’s efficiency, with 380 km completed in fully electric mode thanks to regenerative braking.

Designed for both commuters and fleet drivers, the Grandland Plug-in Hybrid delivers 143 kW (195 hp) and 350 Nm of torque, with an official WLTP-rated range of up to 897 km, including 87 km of electric-only driving.

The test exceeded expectations, achieving an overall fuel consumption of just 4.6 L/100 km at an average speed of 80 km/h.
Packed with advanced features like Intelli-Lux HD lights, a head-up display, and AGR-certified ergonomic seats, the Grandland combines comfort with sustainability. Opel’s “Greenovation” approach is evident in its resource-saving design and efficient drivetrain.


With a top speed of 220 km/h, the Grandland Plug-in Hybrid is available from €40,150 in Germany. Under optimal conditions, Opel suggests it could achieve an even greater range.
