The Nissan Formula E Team is set to return to action at the Mexico City E-Prix this weekend, following a promising performance in São Paulo.
Drivers Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato aim to build on the team’s competitive pace as they tackle the high-altitude circuit at Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez, which stands 2,250 meters above sea level.
Mexico holds special significance for Nissan, with over 14 million vehicles produced locally since 1966 and a dominant 17.7% market share in 2023. The brand’s long-standing popularity is mirrored by its fanbase in Formula E, making the race a key event for Nissan’s motorsport division.

Team Optimistic for Strong Results
Managing Director Tommaso Volpe expressed confidence in the team’s potential, citing advancements in energy management and the performance of the new all-wheel-drive GEN3 Evo cars.
Rowland and Nato are focused on clean execution to convert their speed into solid points, with Rowland highlighting the challenges of energy management at the circuit and Nato emphasizing the electric atmosphere created by local fans.
Sérgio Sette Câmara, reserve and simulator driver, anticipates thrilling racing on the iconic track, especially through the Peraltada corner and the lively stadium section.
Track action begins Friday, with the race scheduled for Saturday at 14:00 (UTC-6). Nissan aims to impress its strong fanbase and further its commitment to zero-emission mobility through electrifying on-track performances.
