Exhibit Highlights:
1. NEO Skyline – Nissan Kyoto Automobile Technical College
Created by fourth-year students, this modern take on the iconic Kenmary Skyline (C110 model from the 1970s) blends nostalgia with contemporary aesthetics.
The CV35 Skyline Coupe serves as the base, painted in a custom ‘Tomoaki Blue,’ a pearl-enhanced update of the original Kenmary’s metallic blue. Targeting enthusiasts in their 30s to 50s, the NEO Skyline emphasizes nostalgia, encouragement, and originality, offering a fresh interpretation of a beloved classic.
2. Z Lealia – Nissan Kyoto Automobile Technical College
This “sports station wagon for family journeys” reimagines the M35 Stagea with design elements inspired by the latest RZ34 Fairlady Z.
The students welded on the rear section of a Nissan LEAF, widened the fenders, and painted the car in ‘Ikazuchi Yellow,’ matching the RZ34 Fairlady Z’s signature hue. The Z Lealia appeals to fathers balancing family needs with a passion for sports cars, delivering excitement and practicality.
3. Bluebird Kiwami – Nissan Aichi Automobile Technical College
Third-year students transformed a PU11 Bluebird Maxima into the Bluebird Kiwami, a luxurious yet sporty vision tailored for young drivers.
The car, known for its center pillar-less design and spacious interior, is painted in ‘Aurora Flare Blue Pearl,’ evoking a dynamic, youthful spirit. Despite a short 2.5-month production timeline, the project showcases precision craftsmanship, from its refined exterior to its performance-focused upgrades.
These projects underscore the students’ technical skills and passion, embodying Nissan’s design legacy and innovation. Visitors to Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 will experience how the next generation of automotive experts is reinterpreting Nissan DNA with creativity and precision.
