Hyundai Motor America achieved record-breaking February sales, delivering 62,032 units, a 3% increase year-over-year and the highest February sales in its history.

This marks the fifth consecutive month of record total sales, with models like Santa Fe HEV (+194%), Tucson (+2%), and IONIQ 6 (+12%) setting new highs. Hybrid sales surged by 57%, while total electrified sales grew 35%.

CEO Randy Parker credited the strong performance to Tucson’s leadership and rising demand for EVs and hybrids, expressing confidence in Hyundai’s diverse lineup to drive further market share gains.

Hyundai also celebrated several milestones and accolades. José Muñoz, Hyundai Motor Company President and CEO, was named MotorTrend’s 2025 Person of the Year. The company marked 20 years of innovation at its California Proving Ground, while the IONIQ 6 was ranked the top mass-market BEV in J.D.

Power’s 2025 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience Study. The IONIQ 5 and Kona won 2025 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards, and the IONIQ 5 N was named Favorite Vehicle of 2025 by the Midwest Automotive Media Association.

The IONIQ 5 N also secured MotorWeek’s 2025 Drivers’ Choice Award for Best Performance Car and set a new EV lap record at ‘Attack Tsukuba 2025.’

Hyundai continued expanding its reach, with IONNA, the joint venture of major automakers, transitioning to a full-scale national release. The brand also launched its “Play for the Car” campaign, showcasing the 2025 Sonata Hybrid’s sleek design and efficiency.

On the corporate front, Hyundai opened a $14 million Care Center at its Alabama plant to enhance employee well-being. Additionally, the Santa Fe Hybrid and Kona were named to PARENTS’ 2025 Best Family Cars list, further solidifying Hyundai’s reputation for safety and practicality.
