In July 2024, NIO reported robust delivery figures, reaching a total of 20,498 vehicles. This marks the third consecutive month of surpassing the 20,000-unit threshold. The deliveries comprised 11,964 premium smart electric SUVs and 8,534 premium smart electric sedans.
Year-to-date deliveries for 2024 have hit 107,924 vehicles, reflecting a remarkable 43.9% increase year-over-year. Cumulative deliveries have now reached 557,518 as of July 31, 2024.
Global Expansion and Infrastructure Development
NIO’s expansion continued in July with the opening of four new NIO Houses globally. Additionally, the company inaugurated 27 Power Swap Stations and 35 charging stations. As of the end of July, NIO boasts 159 NIO Houses worldwide and has constructed 2,509 Power Swap Stations, including 820 on expressways in China and 51 across Europe.

The company has also built 3,945 Power Charger Stations and 22,970 chargers, integrating with over 1,674,000 third-party chargers. NIO has provided over 49 million power swap services to users, reinforcing its commitment to convenient and sustainable energy solutions. Furthermore, NIO launched 76 Power Journeys routes in China and two in Europe, including a new route from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Stavanger, Norway.
Technological Innovations and New Product Launches
On July 23, NIO introduced its Value System 3.0, updating the company’s mission and vision to focus on shaping a sustainable and brighter future. The Value System 3.0 reinforces NIO’s commitment to innovation and user experience excellence.
July 27 marked significant technological advancements for NIO during the AI-themed NIO IN 2024 event at the Shanghai World Expo Center. The event highlighted several breakthroughs, including the successful tape-out of the world’s first 5nm AD chip, the NX9031, which features over 50 billion transistors and delivers unparalleled performance. NIO also unveiled SkyOS, a full-domain vehicle operating system, and the Banyan 3 smart system with AI-powered features, including the NOMI GPT architecture.
Additionally, NIO introduced China’s first world model for assisted and intelligent driving, the NIO WorldModel (NMW), along with the NADArch 2.0 architecture. The All-New NIO Phone was launched at the event, with prices starting at RMB 6,499 for the Performance Version, RMB 6,899 for the Flagship Version, and RMB 7,499 for the EPedition.
Enhanced Safety Features
On July 11, NIO released Banyan 2.6.5, featuring the industry’s first end-to-end Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). The Smart Safety 2.0 suite offers upgraded active safety features for comprehensive user protection.

On July 21, Guangzhou was selected by the NIO user community to host NIO Day 2024, an annual event that celebrates the company’s achievements and engages with its user base.
