Nikola Corporation has announced that its updated battery-electric Class 8 trucks have surpassed 1 million in-service miles driven by end fleets and dealers. Combined with the 1.5 million miles previously recorded across all Nikola BEV versions, the company’s zero-emission vehicles continue to make strides in metro-regional transportation.
Recent updates to Nikola’s BEVs include software and HMI improvements, new batteries, enhanced charging features such as scheduled departure charging, and updates to the Nikola app.

Currently, 94 updated trucks are in operation across 19 fleet customers, contributing 1,016,929 in-service miles. These trucks integrate advanced digital tools like the Nikola Pulse app, enabling efficient vehicle monitoring and support.
Mary Chan, Nikola’s Chief Operating Officer, highlighted the milestone as a step toward zero-emission transportation goals, underscoring the trucks’ impact on sustainability. Nikola’s innovations extend beyond vehicles, with its HYLA energy brand spearheading hydrogen refueling solutions.
The company, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, remains committed to transforming commercial transportation with its cutting-edge BEV and hydrogen fuel cell trucks.
