Mercedes-Benz is rolling out its latest over-the-air update, MBUX 2.6, to over two million vehicles worldwide, bringing fresh digital features and enhanced functionality across its lineup.
Among the headline additions is Google Satellite View, offering high-resolution, bird’s-eye imagery that improves navigation clarity, especially in open areas.
Also new is Live Alternative Routes for electric vehicles, which intelligently plots routes with optimized charging stops using Navigation with Electric Intelligence—available on models like the EQS, EQE, EQB, and G-Class.

Another big upgrade is the expansion of ChatGPT integration into the MBUX Voice Assistant, now reaching around three million vehicles, including those with the first-generation infotainment system.
This upgrade allows users to engage in natural, flowing conversations and get real-time answers to broad topics through Microsoft Bing and Azure’s AI platform, all while keeping their focus on driving. Usage of the voice assistant has spiked sixfold since ChatGPT’s initial rollout, showing strong user interest.

For those who love venturing off-road, the Offroad Track feature is now live through the Mercedes-Benz Stories app.
Drivers can explore, record, and share their rugged routes using vehicle telemetry like incline angles and GPS, along with video footage captured via a smartphone.
This data can be turned into highlight reels and shared with fellow enthusiasts. It’s available on select all-wheel-drive vehicles like the G-Class, EQS SUV, and GLE with hard disk navigation.

The MBUX 2.6 update keeps Mercedes-Benz vehicles digitally fresh long after purchase, with all new features tailored to models equipped with second- or third-generation MBUX systems. The update also adds convenience by making features like the Entertainment Package Plus accessible directly from the in-car touchscreen.
