Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius has unveiled the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA, a model designed to set new benchmarks in the entry-level luxury segment.
The CLA is set to debut in 2025, following the vision first seen in the Concept CLA Class, with promises of class-leading range, energy efficiency, and ultra-fast charging speeds.
During a first drive at the Mercedes-Benz test facility in Immendingen, Källenius joined host Sarah Harman to provide a sneak peek of this next-generation model.

While still in a camouflaged prototype phase, Källenius shared key design details, including the new headlight aesthetics, and emphasized the car’s goal to elevate entry-level Mercedes standards.
The CLA is the first of a new family of vehicles built on a modular platform, allowing for both fully electric and hybrid versions. In the electric variant, Mercedes has incorporated its EQXX concept technology, enhancing the drivetrain’s performance and efficiency through a two-speed transmission.
The alternative is a newly developed hybrid combustion engine featuring 48V technology paired with an electrified transmission, promising both power and fuel efficiency.
This CLA model will also debut the innovative Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), which includes the AI-driven MBUX Virtual Assistant for an intuitive, proactive user experience. The platform is designed to enhance interaction with natural language and proactive support, making it the most intelligent Mercedes in this segment to date.
With a sporty, modern design that borrows elements from the Concept CLA, the new CLA promises to be a standout in style and technological innovation, marking a fresh era for Mercedes-Benz’s entry-level lineup.
