Mercedes-Benz Vans is advancing its electrification strategy with the introduction of its VAN.EA (Van Electric Architecture), set to underpin all newly developed medium and large vans starting in 2026.

The VAN.EA platform is designed to cater to both luxury and commercial markets, offering flexibility across various van models. For private customers, the range will include family vans, exclusive VIP shuttles, and spacious luxury limousines.
Meanwhile, commercial vans will be positioned in the premium segment, ensuring a wide array of options tailored to different needs.
Technologically, these electric vans will feature both front-wheel drive and 4×4 configurations, equipped with the latest Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). Additionally, they will come with an 800-volt charging system and a 22 kW AC charger for enhanced charging efficiency.
Mercedes-Benz Vans began extensive testing in June 2024 with a specially constructed prototype that completed a long-distance journey from Stuttgart to the North Cape.
These tests focused on the chassis, electric powertrain, and battery systems. Upcoming winter testing in Sweden will further examine the performance of the entire vehicle under cold conditions, as the company continues refining its electric vans for real-world use.
