Mercedes-Benz has introduced MBUX Notes, a cutting-edge, speech-enabled note-taking app that leverages generative AI to redefine in-car productivity.

This app allows drivers and passengers to create secure, hands-free, multilingual voice notes for tasks like grocery lists, meeting agendas, or brainstorming ideas, all while keeping their focus on the road.

One of the first in-car apps of its kind, MBUX Notes transforms voice input into structured summaries using OpenAI’s GPT-4o technology, offering a safer and more efficient way to capture ideas during commutes.

Hands-Free, Multilingual Note-Taking: Create voice notes securely while driving, with support for multiple languages.
AI-Powered Summarisation: Convert spoken notes into concise, organised bullet points for clarity and easy review.
Playback and Sharing Options: Summarised notes can be read back by the app or shared via Gmail, Outlook, and other email clients.
App Integration: Seamlessly connect with popular note-taking apps like OneNote and Outlook Notes.
Enhanced Privacy: Notes are encrypted end-to-end, ensuring they remain anonymous and are not permanently stored by OpenAI or third-party services.

Availability and Expansion
Initially launched in 30 European markets on December 3, 2024, MBUX Notes is set to expand to nine additional regions, including the USA, Japan, and Australia. The app is compatible with Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the third-generation MBUX Infotainment system and requires an active MBUX Entertainment Package Plus subscription.
