Mercedes-Benz has taken convenience to the next level with its enhanced Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, now available in most models. The upgraded system parks vehicles twice as fast, operating at speeds of 4 km/h, significantly improving the everyday parking experience for customers.
With intuitive controls and advanced safety features, the system makes automated parking simpler and more efficient than ever before.

Effortless Parking with Advanced Features
The enhanced Active Parking Assist can be activated with a digital button, displaying a status bar to keep drivers informed of progress. PARKTRONIC signal tones are muted during the process for a more comfortable experience.
For vehicles equipped with the optional 360° camera, drivers can access multiple views for precise parking guidance. These updates now come standard in select models, including the E-Class, S-Class, EQS, EQS SUV, EQE, EQE SUV, and Maybach variants equipped with the parking package and reversing camera.
Smart Parking Detection
The system actively scans for parking spaces below 35 km/h, marking available spots with a blue “P” symbol on the display. It identifies tight spaces with as little as 50 cm of clearance at both ends, relying on features like curb alignments or other vehicles for guidance.
Once a suitable space is found, a white arrow appears, allowing the driver to select the spot and initiate automated parking. For perpendicular spaces, drivers can choose to park either forwards or backwards.
Seamless Integration with Safety Systems
Safety remains a top priority. The system issues optical and audible alerts if crossing vehicles, cyclists, or fast-moving pedestrians are detected while reversing. If the driver does not respond, the vehicle automatically applies emergency braking, ensuring the protection of all road users. This feature is effective in both automated and manual reversing scenarios.
With these upgrades, Mercedes-Benz continues to lead in innovation, offering customers a stress-free, faster, and safer parking experience.
