The 2024 season of the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup “powered by GSe” delivered electrifying competition, with Austria’s Luca Pröglhöf claiming the title.
Driving the near-production Opel Corsa Rally Electric with co-driver Christina Ettel, Pröglhöf secured four victories and clinched the championship ahead of the finale at the Central European Rally, part of the FIA World Rally Championship.

The season featured teams from eight countries and included eight female drivers, underlining the competition’s growing diversity and global appeal. Highlights included strong performances from drivers like Christian Lemke (Germany), Alex Español (Spain), Jérôme Chavanne (France), and Tom Heindrichs (Belgium).
Guest appearances by motorsport legends Timo Scheider and Matthias Walkner further elevated the series, with Scheider impressively finishing fifth at the ADAC Rally Sulingen.
Female competitors also shone this season, with drivers like Emma Chalvin, Lyssia Baudet, and Claire Schönborn earning recognition. Baudet and Schönborn qualified for the Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) shootout at Rally Sweden in 2025, showcasing the series’ role in developing future rally stars.
Pröglhöf’s championship win earns him a promotion to the ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team, where he will compete in the Junior European Rally Championship (JERC), following in the footsteps of previous title winners. Opel Motorsport boss Jörg Schrott praised the series’ success and teased an exciting 2025 season with seven events across five countries.
