LG Electronics has secured the world’s first Common Criteria (CC) certification for security in the Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) device category, awarded to its VW Transceiver Module.

This telematics component, developed for Volkswagen’s MQB platform, underscores LG’s leadership in automotive cybersecurity and advanced vehicle technology.

The CC certification, an internationally recognized standard, validates the module’s robust protection against unauthorized access, crucial in an era of connected cars.

LG’s V2X technology enables secure communication between vehicles, infrastructure, and pedestrians, adhering to Europe’s strict security regulations.

LG plans to extend this certification to its V2X solution for Volkswagen’s MEB electric vehicle platform. This achievement is part of LG’s broader effort to enhance security across its automotive electronics portfolio, reinforcing its position as a key player in the global automotive market.
